Bhante Seelananda
Ven. Bhante Seelananda was born in Sri Lanka and ordained at the age of eleven. He received his monastic education and disciplines as a Theravada monastic under the erudite and experienced teachers in Sri Lanka. From early days, he studied and practiced the original Teachings of the Buddha and as an experienced monk came to the US in 2002 with an invitation from the American - Sri Lankan Buddhist Association in New York. At present, Ven. Seelananda resides as the president and abbot of the Virginia Insight Meditation Center in Annandale, Virginia.
